River Oaks Properties, a large El Paso shopping center developer, has opened its new headquarters in a remodeled and expanded former credit union branch at 5678 N. Mesa St. in West El Paso. The cost of buying and renovating the building was not disclosed.
The 17,000-square-foot office, formerly a GECU branch, is more than twice the size of River Oaks’ old offices at 106 Mesa Park Drive. The company employs 40 people, and the larger building “will accommodate the business for many years to come,” Adam Frank, River Oaks president, said in an email. Gerald Rubin, the founder and former CEO of Helen of Troy, the El Paso consumer products company, is owner and CEO of River Oaks.
