A Home Depot, fast-food outlets, and an under-construction Residence Inn hotel have also sprouted in the back of the huge Amazon facility. River Oaks also has several other new small shopping centers going up in other areas of far East El Paso.

The Eastlake retail centers are in El Paso Hunt Companies’ huge Mission Ridge master-planned housing community.

River Oaks also has a big piece of the retail action on the far West side with its booming West Towne Marketplace at Interstate 10 and Paseo del Norte Boulevard.

Some of the shopping centers on the far West Side are part of Hunt’s other large master-planned housing community, Cimarron.
