Matteo’s recently opened its second location in Las Cruces. Its first location, along University Avenue, is a popular spot, prompting a second location downtown. Now, El Pasoans will have the chance to incorporate Matteo’s into their dining out plans.

Matteo’s Mexican Food owners Hugo Rios, Melody Rios, Michelle Rios and Sergio Rios pose in front of the West Towne Marketplace sign in El Paso, where their next location is set to open in a few months. Construction is underway at West Towne Marketplace, off Interstate 10 on El Paso’s West Side, right between Cabela’s and Flix Brewhouse. Melody Rios, one of the four co-owners, said it will be a few months before they are ready to open the doors to customers.

Melody and her twin sister, Michelle, were born in El Paso, so this latest expansion of the business they share with their husbands — who are brothers — moves them that much closer to home. Melody said the opportunity to add this latest location presented itself and felt like a natural next step.

Matteo’s Mexican Food owners walk through their new location in El Paso’s West Towne Marketplace. “We truly feel honored to serve each and every one of our loyal customers and all of this would not be possible without their support,” Melody said.
