Horizon City, Texas - Dec. 6, 2024 – Albertsons, part of Albertsons Companies, Inc. and a leading food and drug retailer in the Unites States, is excited to announce the grand opening of a new Albertsons store at 13671 Eastlake Blvd. in Horizon City. (Eastlake & Darrington). The store is in the Market at Darrington, a project developed by River Oaks Properties. Doors open at 6 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. Later that morning, a large-scale community-wide celebration will kick off with a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. Nearly two dozen local schools and nonprofits will be awarded more than $100,000 in grants from the Albertsons Foundation. Many local dignitaries will be on hand for the ribbon cutting. The community is invited to attend and sample delicious food along with a chance to win prizes, free groceries and Albertsons gift cards. As part of the celebration, the first 300 shoppers will receive a $100 gift card, following the ribbon cutting. “We’re thrilled to unveil this beautiful and highly upgraded Albertsons store to residents in Horizon City,” said Carl Huntington, President of the Southwest Division for Albertsons. “This upscale Albertsons will provide shoppers with the finest selection of fresh foods along with a memorable experience each time they shop.”
